Hans 1 - the spoken word poet
Emmanuel Appiah-Hanson popularly known as Hans 1 is a final year Bsc Actuarial Science student of KNUST. He explained the name Hans 1 to iRed Entertainment as a name coined out of his surname Hanson, which means a gift from God in Hebrew. Based upon the meaning of his name, he said he want to use this gift-which is Poetry to bless anyone who gets a hold of his piece.
Hans 1 grew up as the only boy among 3 sisters with the parents whom they are all Christians.
He became a poet because poetry is the only way he finds it convenient to channel all his emotions and also able to free his mind and say things as it is.
He said that, he learnt more about the art, Spoken-word when he got to the University. He met some friends who helped him to develop. Hans 1 had the chance to share the same stage with some International Recording Artists like Frank Edwards, Ada and E-Rock during TOTAL EXPERIENCE in 2014. After that he ministered at EXPLO & TIE CONFERENCE.
He said his inspiration is from God's word (Bible), music (George the Poet,P4CM crew,Reach records crew,Suli Breaks),life experiences and the things he sees, hears and feels.
He said he's currently working on a spoken word Album with the title SIXES AND S3VENS. This primarily talks about the issues we face and the hard choices we have to make in life due to some circumstances. Just anticipate, be expectant and we won't disappoint.
